Floyd Earns Employee Opinion Survey Award
Floyd healthcare system has been awarded national recognition by HR Solutions Inc.
Floyd was the third highest scoring organization in the nation among HR Solutions’ 729 Employee Opinion survey participants in 2004. In addition, Floyd led all other HR Solutions clients in improving overall job satisfaction scores. Floyd was recognized as the top scoring health care facility in Georgia in 2002. The 2004 award marks the second time Floyd has had the highest score among Georgia health care institutions.
Chicago-based HR Solutions is one of the largest employee satisfaction measurement companies in the United States. The organization measures employee groups in businesses and industries across the United States to help employers assess benefit packages, work environment, supervisory skills and other key elements related to job satisfaction.
Floyd surveys its employees every two years and asks over 100 questions that are confidentially administered by HR Solutions. Floyd uses the survey results to make changes and improvements where needed.
“Surveying our co-workers has become an integral part of our culture,” said Kurt Stuenkel, President and CEO of Floyd. “The survey results enable us to identify areas for improvement. For example, in 2002 Floyd co-workers gave us very low marks on benefits. We immediately got to work. We learned that benefits were not communicated very well nor were they well understood. We also discovered the need to add and change some things.
“In 2004 the score on benefits increased tremendously. We also learned that Floyd co-workers want to physically see more of senior management and as a result, have created ways to make this happen. Again, in 2004 our scores on this went up. We would not improve if we did not ask. Surveying is key for us as we seek to be an employer of choice. ”
“Floyd’s exceptional results on the Employee Opinion Survey demonstrates the strength of the organization's commitment to providing a top-notch work environment,” said HR Solutions’ Jenny Breunig.
“We are very proud to receive this award,” Stuenkel said. “It reflects our commitment to be where the best healthcare workers want to work, and the best people will help us to deliver excellent care.”
Floyd received an etched glass award to mark the achievement.
